Happy Friday Digihatters! I hope you have all had a wonderful week and are excited about the weekend. It has almost been one week since the launch of this project and we have close to 1,500 Digihats minted, that is insane! We cannot say this enough, the team is so thankful for everyone who has supported this project. The engagement that we have had on our Twitter account, our Discord, and our Telegram has been phenomenal!
What has the team done this week?
This week, the developers have been hard, working on fixing bugs and developing additional features on our website. Their biggest concern was the error when using the Trust Wallet app on iOS to mint a Digihat. This issue now is fixed, and everything works as expected. You can mint a Digihat through Trust Wallet on iOS.
The developers have added a “My Wallet” page to our website. This page allows you to view the Digihats you currently own. Side note, until the reveal, the Digihats you own will appear as a question mark because Digihats are not assigned to a tokenID. From this “My Wallet” page you can now send your Digihat(s) to any Binance Smart Chain address. I can confirm, this transfer function works on the Trust Wallet iOS app!
Towards the end of the week, we noticed something strange. The team was browsing the OpenSea marketplace when we found they listed Digihats as a collection. Here’s the weird thing, we host Digihats on the Binance Smart Chain, but OpenSea is an NFT marketplace for Ethereum… Or is it?
If you go to https://opensea.io/assets/bsc/0x1ba50fb34360143b4006d8bb803485d2d1837bb3, this is the address of our smart contract, you will see some Digihats on OpenSea. Then, if you select one of the Digihats, connect a wallet, and click on “Make Offer”. This message pops up “Binance Smart Chain trading coming soon!”
This was amazing news for the team. We have been talking with multiple NFT exchanges on the Binance Smart Chain, and they have all said the same thing, they can list Digihats after the reveal. But, after the news that OpenSea is planning to support Binance Smart Chain NFTs. The team will make Digihats a verified collection on OpenSea. This means when OpenSea supports Binance Smart Chain, you will be able to buy, sell, and auction your Digihats on their platform.
Road map for next week
Next week the team’s highest priority is creating a gallery feature, where you will look through all the Digihats. After the reveal, you are able to search Digihats by their characteristics. For example, say you want to view all the Digihats with cowboy hats. There will be a filter function on the gallery page that allows you to see Digihats that have cowboy hats on them.
As we get closer to the reveal, the team is planning to continue marketing for Digihats. We are planning on displaying some of our Special Digit Digihats and their meaning on Twitter, and continue running twitter giveaways. If you have any recommendations of what the team could do for marketing, that would be greatly appreciated!
